FireBall Rigs

Our most popular Bluefish rig.  This double drop rig is tied with 40 lb. mono or nylon coated wire.  The floats are fluorescent yellow and red.  The 3/4" float model has #4 plated hooks while the 1" model has 3/0 plated hooks.  Both have a #5 swivel at the top and a #14 Luxon link for sinker attachment.  Mono models: DT34 or DT1

Original Bluefish Rig

The original Hatteras Bluefish rig is made with 60 lb. black nylon coated wire.  It has a 2" fluorescent oval float and a 7/0 plated hook.  The 1/0 black 3-way swivel has a #14 connecting link for sinker attachment.  Available with a plain or white bucktail hook. Use with natural strips or cut bait.  Yellow, Red or Green float. FBS3 - color

Snell Bluefish Rig

The Standard rig is made witha #1040 snell hook rig with twisted wire arms.  The nylon coated wire hook float leader is attached to the rig.  1.5" cigar floats & 1/0 plated hooks. The Heavy Duty rigs are the same but are made with a #1040HD heavy duty snell hook rig.  2" floats & 4/0 plated hooks. (SBR2T shown in picture)

Double Drop Bluefish Rig

This rig is tied with 40 lb. mono and uses #5 swivels, #3 snaps, and a #14 connecting link for the sinker.  Uses one fluorescent red and on fluorescent yellow, 3/4" tear drop shape, foam float.  Bulk—24/ ring  2BRP

Heavy Duty Bluefish Rig

Heavy-duty bluefish rig for the toothy fish.  This rig is tied with 10" of 120 lb. test black coated wire, a #1/0 swivel and a size 5/0 bronze hook.  # 02018

Bait Bugs

An excellent Bluefish lure and long time favorite at Hatteras Island.  The Bait Bug is tied with 24" of 50 lb. mono.  It is available in 2 body sizes, 1 1/8" long or 1 3/4" long.  The foam floating body keeps the bug riding the waves.  Works great with a trip of natural bait.  The smaller bug has a 2/0 bucktail hook and a trailer hook while the larger has a 3/0 bucktail hook with a trailer hook.

Snapper Zapper Rig

A popular North East rig for small bluefish.  Has a weighted popping float with a #6 hook dressed with natural color tubing.  1 rig per pack.  SNPP

Deluxe Finger Mullet Rig

The split, two-hook treble can be removed allowing you to properly rig the finger mullet.  Rig has a black 1/0 3-way swivel and a large DuoLock snap for simple attachment.  The 80 lb. monofilament, #15 wire, and 1 1/4", and pear float complete the rig.  2/0 hook.  SSDMR (red & white float)  SSDMR-G (green float)
