WARRANTY

Star Rods’ Delux, Handcrafted, Stellar Lite, Nickelite, and Plasma rods are covered by a Limited Lifetime Warranty. The Aerial rod series are covered by a Five (5) Year Warranty.

Star Fishing Tackle LLC will at its option repair or replace any Star Rod that has defects in workmanship or materials for a period as stated above. To obtain service under this warranty, purchaser may return rod to their local Star Dealer or contact Star Fishing Tackle LLC at 252-247-4113, ext 234. Star Fishing Tackle LLC is not responsible for damage caused by misuse, accident, neglect or normal wear. Star Fishing Tackle LLC will only warranty rods purchased directly from an authorized dealer and will not warranty any rod purchased from an internet auction site, pawn shop, or the like. This warranty supersedes all other warranties, expressed or implied.

Star Warranty Repair Centers:

We have warranty centers in various states that can fix your rod and get you fishing promptly. If you live near one of these stores, simply take your rod to that location and they will repair your Star Rod free of charge. Click here for a complete listing of our centers. If you are not near one of our repair centers, you can obtain warranty service using one of the methods below.

How to file a warranty claim:

1. The store at which you purchased the rod will, at managers discretion, replace a rod that is covered under this warranty.

2. You may return, at your expense, the rod to Star Fishing Tackle LLC (see below) for repair or replacement. Call 252-247-4113 ext 234 or e-mail us before you send the rod to receive a return authorization form. Let us know the rod number or type and under what circumstances did the defect/breakage occur. We recommend using a shipping method in which you can obtain a tracking number or delivery confirmation.

3. Please include the following with the rod (rods received without contact information and not claimed within 30 days, will be destroyed):

a. Your return address along with your phone number.

b. A detailed description of the circumstances under which the problem occurred.

c. The location and approximate date of purchase.

d. If you would like to receive a shipping notice for the replacement rod, include your e-mail address.

Replacements/repairs covered under this warranty, will be returned to customer via prepaid shipping. Rods not covered under this warranty will only be returned at owner’s expense. Rods not claimed within 30 days will be destroyed.
